Health & Safety Guidelines
During your appointment
Too Haute Saunas Waiver Form
Alcohol is not permitted in the sauna. Too Haute Saunas reserves the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons. Do not enter the sauna if you have been consuming alcohol.
Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the sauna while the woodstove is in use without being accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.
Any jewelry should be removed prior to entering the sauna to prevent burning.
Any glasses or contact lenses should be removed before entering the sauna to avoid damage to the coating and to prevent contact lenses from drying out.
All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. If you have any concerns regarding sauna use, it is essential that you contact your physician before using the sauna.
You must not use in the sauna if you:
Suffer from high blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder or suffer from epilepsy or diabetes
Are pregnant
Are prone to dizziness or fainting
All persons using the ocean, lake, river or pond as a “cold plunge" do so at their own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures and varying conditions of the body of water.
Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times. This includes:
Removing socks and shoes before entering and washing feet in the provided water as needed
Sitting on a towel at all times
Staying in the sauna for not longer than 20 minutes at a time (we recommended 5-15 minutes mini sessions)
Gently pour water over the sauna stove, do not dump the water as it will burn you
Only pour fresh water over the stove and rocks, nothing else
Please refrain from bringing your own essential oils, body oils and other products for the session as these products cannot be used in the sauna. Products and oils that have not been approved for in-sauna use may react to the heat and release toxins, ignite on the stove or create slippery surfaces inside the sauna.
If you are making a booking on behalf of the group, it is your responsibility to ensure that the group understands and agrees with these terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use.
